Vincent Bell — Pop Goes The Electric Sitar

New York based Vincent “Vinnie” Bell was one the most prolific session guitarists of the 1960’s and continued to be in demand for records, jingles, and soundtrack work for decades.  He played on too many hit records to list, but just to start: “Walk On By” (Dionne Warwick), “Band Of Gold” (Freda Payne), “Green Tamourine” (Lemon Pipers), “Happy Together” (The Turtles), and the Twin Peaks soundtrack.  There is a lot more beyond that…

He pioneered the use of guitar effects and even invented instruments like the Danelectro Bellzouki and the Coral electric sitar.  The latter is featured on his solo release Pop Goes The Electric Sitar, check it out….
