James Booker — Gonzo

This is the first 45 included on the blog, and one of the hippest I’ve found so far.  The great pianist/organist James Booker’s “Gonzo” was a #3 R&B single in 1960.  (Details: Peacock 1697)

ok, it’s not the kind of music I love best but I dig it.
nice piece of music history with a lovely label.

Glad you like it–I’m a big fan of R&B and New Orleans music, so this was a nice find.

Sorry the blog has been slow, I’ve been busy with work. I have some nice posts set to go for the upcoming week….
