Still no luck finding nice vinyl on my favorite Bob Marley albums Catch A Fire and Natty Dread, but I have been chipping away at the others–including 1977’s Exodus. This lacks some of the raw energy of the earlier releases, but when you get right down to it I enjoy just about all of his records. It’s all good, as they say.
Exodus was the first Marley record (CD actually) I owned when I was a teenager, so I know it front to back and have been listening to it fairly regularly for my entire adult life. It has big hits like “Jammin”, “Waiting In Vain”, and “One Love/People Get Ready”. The opening track “Natural Mystic” is below.
I tired to figure out what pressing this was but couldn’t quite make sense of it. Maybe an early, but not first, US pressing? The “Exodus” has raised lettering on the front cover–which is in nice shape, still in the shrink.
